J essenia Gerardo, a sophomore at LHS, was nominated for the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence and attended The Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Washington, D.C. Friday, November 14 through Sunday, November 16.
Hannah Williams, an LHS senior competed in the Ricebelt District Job Interview Leadership Development Event on November 3, 2014. Hannah placed 2nd out of 12 teams and advanced to the Area IX contest. She then traveled with the Liberty FFA Chapter to SFA on November 11, 2014 and competed against 8 other individuals that advanced from the Area IX Association and she placed second. This qualifies Hannah for the Texas FFA State LDE contest at Sam Houston State University on December 5, 2014.
Graduate for Más is a program dedicated to empowering teens to make a personal commitment to graduate high school and to achieve más. The Taco Bell Foundation for Teens™ developed the program with Get Schooled to provide digital tools, support and an online community for students to stay on track. By staying active, teens can earn points for prizes, rewards and educational support, including scholarships and mentoring resources. Click on the logo for more information.
MOM’S DAY/NIGHT OUT Open to ALL Pre-k through 5th grade children. Junior class members will have activities and games for the children while you enjoy a night or day out! Dates: Friday, December 12th 4PM-7PM and Saturday, December 13th 9AM-12NOON in the Liberty High School Cafeteria. Prices are $25 per child and $15 for each additional sibling. SANTA will be here, with photo opps, movies, hot chocolate, face painting and much much more!
