| Spotlight Liberty is a cross-curricular multimedia endeavor incorporating science, social studies, gifted and talented/humanities, technology, and language arts. This project was generously funded by a grant from Hewlett-Packard. Students have studied the historical, geological, and environmental aspects of the City of Liberty which is the third oldest town on the Trinity River. We have studied our rich history including Texas heroes who have called Liberty home. Statistical data concerning the economy and population has also been studied. Students have researched the diverse geology of the area including the Trinity River watershed and the South Liberty Oilfield. The website and documentary are the culmination of the project and a contribution from the students of Liberty Middle School to the community of Liberty. The students at Liberty Middle School have created two games. The first is a Web Scavenger Hunt and the second is a Jeopardy Style Trivia Game. Click on the images below to play. They have been created using PowerPoint. To play the Web Scavenger Hunt click an answer to see if you are correct and use the home buttons to navigate home.
