Liberty High School’s Softball team is running a “banner” sponsorship program. With this fundraiser, we are soliciting businesses, families, individuals, and others for a “donation” to our program. This donation will be used toward long-term and short-term wants and needs of the program to include, but not limited to, the following: scoreboard installation, dugout renovation, field equipment, outfield maintenance materials, and much more. It is also a tremendous opportunity for advertisement and will be used to beautify our field, just like the signs at our football stadium! We will be taking the first 20 orders only, as space is limited. Individual 3x5 Banner With this banner, a business (or family or even a group of families) can have a large, 3ft.x 6ft. individual banner proudly displaying your company name, logo, and other information you want to convey. This banner is a FLAT $200 for the first year. Sponsors will have this banner hung on our chain-link outfield fence throughout our season. It will be taken down at the end of the season. There would only be a $40 renewal donation requested each season in order to keep it as a “permanent” part of our outfield fencing. For more information or if you have any questions or comments, please contact Coach Karen Slack by email: firstname.lastname@example.org. We thank you in advance for your support of the 2016 Liberty High School Softball Program! With your help, the dedication of these hard working young women will be something we can all remember and be part of!
LHS Senior, Camilla Brady, has been named a Commended Student in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program. Above she is presented with a Letter of Commendation that is given to all scholastically talented seniors from the principal, Dr. Chad Barrett and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program. About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2016 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2016 competition by taking the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). “The young men and women being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented a spokesperson for NMSC. “These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.”
